On Saturday, February 28, our 1st-year Baccalaureate Technological and 4th-grade Primary students showcased creativity, talent, and teamwork at the First Lego League held at the University of Deusto, an educational benchmark event in Euskadi.
The 17th edition of the First Lego League Euskadi brought together over 205 teams and more than 3,400 students from schools across the region. The day at the University of Deusto gathered all participants to compete, present projects, and test their robots before expert juries.
1st-year Baccalaureate Technological: excellence and awards
Our teams, ArqBots and Cave Guardians, stood out in the Challenge category:
- ArqBots achieved 2nd place in Values, showing teamwork, responsibility, and collaboration.
- Cave Guardians won two first prizes: Best Robot Design and Best Scientific Project, highlighting both technical skills and innovative project proposals.
This year’s challenge, UNEARTHED, invited students to research and propose technological solutions inspired by archaeology. Our teams integrated creativity, critical thinking, and technology to respond to this exciting challenge.
4th-grade Primary: learning and enthusiasm
Our 4th-grade Primary students participated in the Explore category, focused on research, design, and project presentation.
The experience allowed them to explore STEAM learning in a fun way, develop communication skills, and enjoy teamwork. Their enthusiasm and motivation were among the highlights of the day.
During the event, our students also experienced being featured in local media, with photographs and a short video captured by EiTB, giving visibility to their effort and dedication.
The First Lego League goes beyond results: it fosters teamwork, resilience, communication, critical thinking, and the application of creative solutions to real problems.
